Tia Foukas, DNP, Urogynecology

Tia Foukas was born in California, but spent much of her teenage years in Utah. As an adult, she settled in Arizona and now calls the East Valley home. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Arizona State University and has worked for nearly 15 years as a nurse in multiple healthcare settings including the newborn ICU, pulmonology, internal medicine, primary care, and outpatient surgery. After obtaining extensive experience in these areas of medicine, she decided to further her education by completing a master’s degree in family practice at The University of Arizona. She extended her education and learning through doctoral studies and completed a doctorate degree in nursing from The University of Arizona in 2016. She is a part time faculty member at Arizona State College of Nursing and Health Innovation. Since completing her doctorate degree, Tia has undergone more extensive training in pelvic floor disorders with Dr. Stratford and Dr. Kantartzis who are board-certified specialists in the subspecialty of female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery.

Tia has a passion for women’s health and has a special interest in pelvic floor disorders; she understands how significant these issues can be for patients and finds great joy in helping women overcome and manage their pelvic floor conditions so they can live life to the fullest. She believes all patients are unique and prides herself in providing patients with individualized, high-quality care.

When she is not caring for patients or teaching at ASU, Tia enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children, volunteering at the local elementary school, supporting her children in their various sporting activities, running, hiking, walking the family dog, or biking. She looks forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your healthcare goals!
